Potential test of non-symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria in increasing nitrogen in Andisol soil

نویسندگان

چکیده

Nitrogen (N) is one of the elements most needed by plants and widely distributed in nature. fixation can occur symbiotic or non-symbiotic soil microbes. This research aimed to examine potential N-fixing microbes increasing availability N soil. was conducted at Soil Biology Laboratory Faculty Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The results showed that ability increase varied. population bacteria increased during 4 weeks incubation. All bacterial isolates which incubated on Andisol were able N-total content around 9.4% -15.6%. isolate with B6 an total 15.6%.

Studies of aerobic non-symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

The occurrence of aerobic, non-symbiotic, nitroqen-fixing bacteria was determined in samples of soil collecte~l in the various soil zones of Allxrm and Saslcatchewan. Genomes of the symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria of legumes.

Over the last several decades, there have been a large number of studies done on the genetics, biochemistry, physiology, ecology, and agronomics of the bacteria forming nitrogen-fixing symbioses with legumes. These bacteria, collectively referred to as the rhizobia, are taxonomically and physiologically diverse members of the a and b subclasses of the Proteobacteria, and mostly comprise members...

Corals form characteristic associations with symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

The complex symbiotic relationship between corals and their dinoflagellate partner Symbiodinium is believed to be sustained through close associations with mutualistic bacterial communities, though little is known about coral associations with bacterial groups able to fix nitrogen (diazotrophs). In this study, we investigated the diversity of diazotrophic bacterial communities associated with t...

Ferredoxins from Nitrogen-Fixing Bacteria

Two ferredoxins have been purified from N2-fixing Mycobacterium flavum. Ferredoxin I had a minimum molecular weight (by amino acid analysis) of 11 230 and contained 7.4 mol Fe and 7.0 mol S2per mol. The ratio of the absorbance at 400 nm to that at 275 nm was 0.7. Ferredoxin I1 had a minimum molecular weight of 13478 and contained 3.4 mol Fe and 3.2 mol S2per mol. The ratio of the absorbance at ...

Nitrogen-Fixing Bacteria in Eucalyptus globulus Plantations

Eucalypt cultivation is an important economic activity worldwide. In Portugal, Eucalyptus globulus plantations account for one-third of the total forested area. The nutritional requirements of this crop have been well studied, and nitrogen (N) is one of the most important elements required for vegetal growth. N dynamics in soils are influenced by microorganisms, such as diazotrophic bacteria (D...
